HOW TO GET A BIKINI BODY?
- Have a body.
- Get a bikini.
- Put bikini on your body.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably read, heard, watched or at the very least glanced at an article, post or video saying that having a body and a bikini just won’t do anymore if you want to have a so called “bikini body.” You have to work for it, put some sweat in it and make some sacrifices. The time period “experts” limit on achieving such a body varies and depends on which program you decide to put your money and time in. No matter which one you choose they are all promising you the same thing: in a n number of weeks or days you will get a body worthy of a bikini.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
What you do with the bikini body after you’ve paid and completed their workout program is up to you, but you are encouraged to post a before and after photo to motivate others and help the creators spread the word of this miracle workout (tip: if you use proper outfit, lighting and Photoshop on the after photo it will help motivate others even more). Not because they want to earn money off it, but because they want to help people like you. Obviously they need to earn a living to do this full time, but to show you just how serious they are about helping others and not getting rich or famous, they will offer you some awesome discount codes. Don’t worry if you miss this amazing offer on their website, they have a whole beehive of working bees who already tried out their programs, achieved amazing bikini bodies, were among the lucky hand picked ones who were inspirational enough to be chosen and worshiped for it and are now more than willing to pass you along their own personal discount code. Why? Obviously not for the money and fame, but because they also want to help you achieve a goal you never knew you had.
So what are you waiting for? Get your wallet out and join this amazing community that inspires you to become the new trend your best self.
Food for thought: the global weight loss and weight management market is profiting by the second and is expected to reach $206.4 billion by 2019.
Wait? What? So many people doing the programs and the population is still overweight and the industry keeps profiting? How can that be? All those people must be lazy. A 12 week program surely gets you a bikini body for life, doesn’t it? They were doing something wrong if they’ve gained all that weight back. Maybe that particular program wasn’t for them. Next summer they should invest in a different one. It’s soooo worth it.
Sarcasm aside. People are actually realizing that in order to achieve a healthy body and mind you have to make changes that last for more than 12 weeks. There are in fact more people choosing to change their lifestyle by eating healthier and exercising regularly than going for a quick fix diet. Obviously some shifts in mindsets have been made and that’s really great but people are under a lot of stress for various reasons and making maintainable life time changes is hard, especially in the beginning, so quick fixes are still very much welcomed. The industry seemed to have realized that too but instead of going into a healthy maintainable life style direction properly they just created another problem. By switching up their slogan from diet pills and miracle chocolates to promoting “healthy” short term exercises that are followed by countless after programs in combination with nutrition supplements and super food diets containing ingredients that are way more expensive than they should be. Sorry to say that even though they did go into a healthier direction, they are still an industry that wants to profit and in order to do that people have to be coming back for more. And that’s the main problem with these bikini body programs. They are not maintainable for life and they don’t give lasting results or permanent body changes. Sooner or later you’re going to crack under pressure and go back to your old habits, which they’re counting on, because sooner or later you will crack under pressure again and buy another “newer and better” program and the cycle repeats.
IT IS MY MISSION TO BRING INCREDIBLE CONFIDENCE AND PRIDE TO ALL WOMEN ALL AROUND THE WORLD
We all deserve to feel great about ourselves. Everyone always says change your life today, but no one ever provides how. My life goal is to provide the how to as many women as possible.
Here is her website: Kayla Itsines – Sweat With Kayla
“The how” that she provides will cost you $69.97 AUD for the 12 week workout guide, $69.97 AUD for the nutrition guide (you can choose between regular or vegetarian) or you can get a “generous” 15% discount if you buy both the workout and the nutrition guide together, totaling at $119.97 AUD. Hold on now, that’s not all. After your first 12 week program you can buy another program for the next 12 weeks which costs additional $69.97 AUD. So remember that nutrition guide? Want to buy a separate recipe book so you’ll know how to prepare all those nutrition? It’s a bargain costing only $19.97 AUD. And coming soon 28-Day Healthy Eating & Lifestyle Guide because you can never get enough of meal plans, recipes, and information to help you live a healthy and balanced lifestyle, priced at only $37.99 AUD. Okay, so she also has foam rollers, water bottles, towels and such but let’s say we already have all that. What we don’t know is how to use a foam roller so let’s just throw additional $14.97 AUD her way so she can give us a guide for that too. And because we want to be an active member on her app which also allows us to join the #BBG Community and be supported, encouraged and motivated with over 20 million other women around the world, just like US, we’re gonna buy that too. Wow. Aren’t we lucky? For an app we can spend $4.61 AUD/week or $19.99 AUD/month or $54.99 AUD/3 months for a subscription. Okay so lets say we got all the best bargains and add those numbers, yes? For 24 weeks of exercise and healthy eating accompanied by an app we’d spend $317.86 AUD which is $251.061 USD and 216.033€. And I don’t know what then. Apparently it all stops :/ Or does it? 😉
Okay so that was just an example of how much bikini body programs cost, obviously the price varies from program to program. You decide if it’s worth it.
We know that Kayla loves her program, but what does YouTube have to say about it? Let’s look at the top few hits.
NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS SKINNY FEELS
So maybe we don’t need to buy her guide at all. Tereza is showing us the complete first 12 week workout on YouTube. She loves it, we love it that she loves it, it saves us money, go Tereza go 🙂 Erin, Danielle, Actively Rees and xameliax to name a few also love Kayla’s guide. On their channels they share with us their achievements and opinions and for those who want to do the guide, they provide some really good insight. Some of them are still doing the guide, some are not, some of them hate the workouts, some of them love them, some are religiously following it and others are combining the tips with other workouts, some even started their channels because of the guide and they all agree that it changed their life for the better. There are many many many more promoters of the BBG Guide on YouTube and they’re really not hard to find. Kayla’s program is based on spreading the results and with them the word about the guide after all.
MY MIND SAYS PANCAKE BUT MY BIKINI SAYS EGG WHITES
I love Adaeze Tula’s video. She’s super real and she’s neither pro nor con on the subject. She honestly described her personal experience and kept it real. Thumbs up! Definitely worth the watch.
I HATE BURPEES
Okay, so the arguments on the opposite side are much harder to find. Vegan Gains (followed by some others in their vegan community) made videos on the subject, but I’m not going to comment on that. I have my own opinion on their content which I might address in another post, but for now I don’t want to waste my words on them. I will however point you to a personal opinion of this girl, who did the guide and who in my opinion made some good arguments worth considering. What Mia Did Next also isn’t impressed with the guide or better yet all bikini guides and the diet industry in general. She also has some insightful videos and personal stories on eating disorders if you’re interested on checking out. Another girl who’s not so fond of the program anymore is Laura who especially touches the subject of how it effected her when she was being featured by Kayla and a destructive side effect that came with dropping from the top of Kayla’s BBG community.
CREATE HEALTHY HABITS NOT RESTRICTIONS
Judging by people’s reaction, videos and posts, I’d say bikini body guides are more popular than not and they definitely get more support than criticisms. I think they can be fun but also had to be taken with a grain of salt. They’re not magic, they shouldn’t be followed to the t and you should know that those people are earning money for what they do and will keep squeezing you for it. I’m sorry but they’re not there just to be your friend and help you or they’d be doing it for free. Which is understandable, they need to eat too, even if that is very little. Also every body is a bikini body and they just made that term up so you’d buy whatever they’re selling by pointing out to you that the way you look right now is not good enough to go to the beach. As long as you keep all those things in mind, and take it as a fun challenge not a lifestyle, you’ll be fine.
While you’re deciding if bikini body guides are for you or not, go check out this video that I found while researching this subject. It’s not about bikini body guides but it is about healthy nutrition. A channel is run by Sadia who is a registered dietitian and nutritionist and she has some awesome tips on how to achieve a sustainable healthy life style. Even though I’m not a vegan like she is, I found it useful and learned some things I didn’t knew about nutrition before. Definitely worth watching.
And that’s pretty much all I have to say on the subject for now. Hoope I gave you a good starting point into researching this subject and have fun in your bikinis on the beach 🙂
And as always, I would love to hear your opinion on the subject in the comment section. Let me know what you think!
